By notifying us in advance, you can ensure a smoother experience. Once you have decided to use our services, please contact us via the Telephone Helpline for Boarding and Alighting Assistance at Stations (0570-55-0155), or contact the station directly (for unstaffed stations, please use the contact information listed on each station's facilities information page).

If advance notice is not provided, there may be delays in providing guidance.

Use of a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle

The conditions for riding our trains while using a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle are listed below.

Conditions for stations where a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle can be used

• There is at least one route via elevator etc., where there is no difference in level from the ticket gate to the home platform.
• There is no spot within the route where the passenger has to directly cross a train track.
• There are no obstacles for the smooth operation of the motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle, such as narrow spaces or rapid turns within the route.
• Even if a station has specific conditions, it may still be used by a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle if it passes our companies inspection.
  • Stations that meet all of the above conditions have been determined as a station where a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle can be used. (Refer to "Stations Where a Motorized Wheelchair with a Remote Control Handle Can Be Used" in the table below.)

Request for using our stations

1. Even at stations where accessible services are available, we provide assistance with boarding and alighting trains to ensure customer safety. Once you have decided to use our services, please call the above contact number, speak to staff at the station window, or use the intercom installed near the ticket gates to inform our personnel.
2. It may take some time for us to be able to guide/assist you. Please arrive at the station with plenty of time to spare.
3. Zones where a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle can be used are limited to the intervals of stations listed in the table below. However, if there are separately determined conditions, those special conditions must be followed.
4. If you wish to transfer trains, you may only do so if the transfer station is one where a motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle can be used.
5. You may not board the First Class Car.
6. Depending on the shape and dimension of your motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle, you may not be able to use the station. An example of this would be if the motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle does not fit in the elevator.
7. You may not be able to use the station at your desired time during peak hours, if it would cause a disruption in daily operations, and in the early morning or late at night.
8. Please drive carefully and safely within the station at a low speed (below 2 km/h).
9. We are not responsible for any accidents, disputes, or damages to your motorized wheelchair with a remote control handle that occur while you are operating it within our railroad facilities. Please operate it at your own risk.
10. Other requests will depend upon the passenger service rules.
