Purposes of Use of Personal Information
Nagoya Railroad Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Nagoya Railroad") shall use personal information obtained from users for the following purposes regarding the company's business operations set forth below: to provide information that may benefit users, wherein provision of information may include sending direct mail promotions and visiting users; to provide services and fulfil contracts, such as by sending products to users; and to perform customer administration and after-sale services.
- The railway and cableway businesses under the Railway Business Act, as well as the transportation business under the Act on Rail Tracks;
- The automobile transportation business under the Road Transportation Act;
- Contracted fleet management services;
- The sale and purchase, lease and rental, administration and intermediation of land and buildings, operation of residential lands, as well as real estate investment advisory services;
- The design, supervision, and contracted construction of civil engineering works;
- The department store and retail businesses, as well as manufacturing, wholesale, imports and exports incidental thereto;
- The operation of amusement parks, recreational facilities, inns, hotels, canteens and bathhouses, as well as the restaurant, barber shop, beauty salon and laundry parlor businesses;
- The operation of culture- and sports-related facilities, as well as the education business;
- Sales of medicine, quasi-medicine, edible meat and seafood, retailing of postage stamps, revenue stamps, sports promotion lottery and other lottery, as well as the liquor and tobacco retail business;
- The air carrier agency business;
- The non-life insurance agency and life insurance soliciting businesses;
- The travel business under the Travel Agency Act;
- Services relating to the provision and processing of information, and the software, telecommunication and cable broadcasting businesses;
- The operation of vehicle and bicycle parking lots, and the warehousing and depository businesses;
- The agricultural, forestry, livestock, and fishery businesses;
- The worker dispatching business;
- The financing, varied movable property rental, and general leasing businesses;
- The marine transportation and excursion boat businesses;
- Sales of petroleum products, and the sales and repair businesses of vehicles, vessels, and parts thereof;
- The advertising, printing, and publication businesses, as well as the planning, designing, and operation of events;
- The cleaning business of buildings, vehicles, and other facilities;
- Business pertaining to security services;
- Business pertaining to industrial waste recycling;
- The management consultation business;
- Businesses pertaining to the generation and sales of electric power;
- Businesses pertaining to the operation of welfare facilities for the elderly and other elderly-care facilities and nursing; and
- Businesses incidental to or pertaining to any of the businesses provided in each preceding Item.
Purposes of Use of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information
Nagoya Railroad shall use individual numbers and specific personal information obtained from users only within the scope of the following administrative tasks.
- Administrative tasks related to withholding tax at source for salary income and retirement income.
- Administrative tasks related to inhabitant's tax.
- Administrative tasks related to employment insurance.
- Administrative tasks related to health insurance and employees' pension insurance.
- Administrative tasks related to "tertiary insured persons" under the national pension.
- Administration tasks under the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act (limited to cases in which an employer is permitted to make an application under the law).
- Administrative tasks related to remuneration and fee payment reports.
- Administrative tasks related to real estate usage fee payment reports.
- Administrative tasks related to payment reports for real estate and other considerations received.
- Administration tasks related to payment reports for brokerage fees received in connection with the sale, purchase, or lease of real estate.
- Administrative tasks related to defined-contribution pension payout or lump-sum payment (limited to administrative tasks related to the creation of legally-required reports for submission to tax authorities in conjunction with pension payouts or lump-sum payments) (applies only to those participating in such pensions).
- Administrative tasks related to payment reports concerning financial instruments and exchange by stock ownership organizations (applies only to those participating in such organizations).
- Administrative tasks related to legally-required reports under the Act on Special Measures Concerning Taxation as concern saving schemes (applies only to those participating in such schemes).
- Administrative tasks related to payment reports concerning legally-required reports under the Income Tax Act as concern in-house savings deposit schemes (applies only to those participating in such schemes).
- All administrative tasks incidental to the foregoing.
