The Fine Flavors and Crafts of the Million Koku of Kaga: Kuromon Koji

The first floor of Meitetsu M'za opposite Omi-cho Market – Kanazawa's "kitchen" – is where you'll find Kuromon Koji. With "nowhere but here" as its concept, Kuromon Koji offers an abundant selection of products that include traditional sweets as well as richly flavorful regional sakes and seafood born of the natural bounty of the sacred mountain of Hakusan, the Sea of Japan, and other locales.

What's more, a diverse array of handicrafts from this artisans' mecca are to be found here under a single roof. Along with pieces crafted by Order of Culture medalists and persons designated as Living National Treasures, modern craft items and works from excellent up-and-coming artisans are also on display and available for purchase.

At Kuromon Koji's tax-refund counter, you can also get refunds for purchases made at other nearby shops. If you're traveling to the city of Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture, be sure to stop by the Musashi area and Kuromon Koji at the Omi-cho Market!
