How to get there?

Traveling in Japan is much easier with many tours available at a reasonable price. It was my first experience joining a Meitetsu bus tour. After arriving at Nagoya Station, we proceeded to Meitetsu Bus Center, next to the station. We went to Meitetsu Tour Counter on the 4th floor to confirm our reservation. Next, we moved on to the bus terminal just in front of the counter.

The bus took off from Nagoya Station at 10.50 am to Nagashima in Mie Prefecture. It took around 45 minutes to reach Nagashima Resort. The bus is a non-smoking bus, with a comfortable seat and spotless. Wi-fi is also provided inside the bus. Don’t worry if you cannot speak Japanese since they have guides speaking Japanese as well as English.

The journey passed quickly as I listening to the explanation from the guides and enjoy the scenery along the way. So here we are, in front of Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream. Located in Nagashima Resort, Mitsui Outlet Mall has a lot to offer. There is a great selection of branded stores to choose from and a large variety. You can find everything you need from head to toe.

Gourmet: Happy Eating Time

We filled in our energy before starting our shopping adventure. There are countless restaurants and café to enjoy great food and snacks. We chose Nagashima Kitchen to enjoy local Mie Prefecture cuisine. Inside Nagashima Kitchen, various restaurants are serving excellent food at reasonable prices. The place is quite crowded so it will be better to come earlier or later after lunchtime to avoid a long queue.

After scanning all the restaurants and their menus, I decided to have Mikedon for my lunch. Mikedon is a rice bowl topped with various ingredients. I ordered Mikedon topped with the tender, flavorful pork, boiled egg and vegetables. I enjoyed it so much and was very full after eating.

Take time to try the snacks too. This time, I tried cheese ice cream crepes from Cold Stone Creamery. Cheese ice cream and berries matched well with the crepes. It didn’t take me long to finish it. :D

Shopping: Unexpectedly Shopping Experience

We spentd over two hours to stroll around the outlets. I was surprised that there are lots of stores with great deals and low prices. Many stores are tax-free for a foreigner (by showing your passport). You can also get 5% - 10% extra discount using the outlet special coupon. (I got it from the Meitetsu Tour).

Although I didn’t have a plan to buy anything, I ended up buying a pair of Sketchers shoes. It was on sale and you can’t get it anywhere at that price. The Sketchers shop also offers 30% off for the second item.
